Diploma
The student must hold a bachelor's degree or its equivalent from an academic institution recognized and accredited by the Supreme Universities Council. The admission opens only once a year in October. For professional diploma applicants, the student must pass the qualification exam assigned by the faculty.
Master's degree
The student must hold a bachelor's degree with an overall grade of Good or above.
The student must have earned his/her first degree from an academic institution recognized and accredited by the Supreme Universities Council.
Be noted that the first degree must be in the field of specialization and the applicant must fulfill 15 credit hours as an admission requirement.
These 15 credit hours are dedicated to a part of the bachelor's degree curriculum, assigned by the scientific department and accredited by the faculty council.
The employer's statement of approval on the students’ absence of 2 days a week for 2 consecutive years is essential.
Students who hold professional diplomas in the field of computer and informatics are exempted from the overall Good grade conditions. The same goes for international students who wish to enroll in a master's degree program.
Doctorate
Students' enrollment is opened twice a year for the master’s students. (in March and October)
The applicant must hold a master's degree in the field of specialization from an Egyptian university.
More about M.Sc. and Ph.D. Admission
The Master's degree student must pass the pre-master year with an overall grade of Good or above.
The doctoral degree student must pass the qualification exam.
The Ph.D. and M.Sc. registration is opened twice a year for interested applicants.
The accepted students are later asked to conduct research on a topic assigned by the department, approved by the faculty council, and then accredited by the university vice dean for the postgraduate studies and research affairs.
The allowed duration for the research is 1-3 years for M.Sc. students and 2-4 for Ph.D. students.
Be noted that the faculty council has the complete authority to grant the students extra time over their assigned duration, 1 year for an MSc. and 2 years for a Ph.D. according to the request of the mentor and approval of the department council.
Masters applicants will not be admitted to a master's degree if more than two years have passed upon their passing of the premaster’s year.
Ph.D. applicants will not be admitted to a Ph.D. program if more than 2 years have passed upon their passing of the qualification exam.
