Overview


The information system department focuses on teaching information systems, analysis, design, and application basics. Moreover, the department presents database different types, data mining, knowledge discovery, and managing information centers. In addition to selected topics that help academic staff members to keep pace with fast scientific development related to teaching the latest information systems topics.

 

Vision 

We strive to master and pioneer scientifically and practically in an educational and social environment open to updates in the information system area to improve faculty graduates and enable them to compete.  

 

Mission 

The program seeks to increase graduates' hiring rate by enriching them with practical and scientific potentials and skills related to managerial information systems and business technology to support the development of a knowledge-based economy and information society. This is achieved through cooperation with the work sector and giving attention to applying information systems in the work sector.
 

 

Goals

  • Provide high-quality education related to information systems that match their various interests, professional expectations, and labour market needs.
  • Prepare students to apply their knowledge in the workplace using tools and techniques to solve problems.
  • Prepare students who can continue learning by granting them the required knowledge and skills for scientific research and making decisions.
  • Increase cooperation with the work sector to enrich graduates' scientific and applied skills and help them to find work opportunities. 
  • Adhere to professional-continuous development for education and learning processes using quality guidelines in the university.
  • Build up cooperations and contact with organizations in both public and private sectors to understand problems related to the information to provide creative solutions based on 
  • scientific and knowledge bases.
  • Keen to achieve academic mastery of the department by focusing on exchanging discreet and professional students.
  • Provide and update scientific sources, including books, scientific journals, and databases.
  • Enhance academic staff members' scientific abilities by encouraging them to participate in conferences, workshops, and symposiums.
